Ever know what it feels like to befriend someone that is basically too busy for you?
Always attempting at keeping up with the world; always on his/her feet. Double booking, rushed conversations. The "I'd rather have 20 friends rather than 1 close friend" kind. The kind who'll tell you, "Yeah, nothing's much been happening" when you know you've missed out on a relatively large chunk of their lives, but they simply don't have the time (or shall I say, the will?) to explain it to you.
You know you could just..walk away. Because, heck. There are other (better) people out there to befriend. You know it, your mind knows it, even your heart knows it. And yet, you find yourself not even an inch away from where you started. Because you don't want to let go just yet. (either that or you're just plain stubborn, ahah. GO FIGURE, GENIUS)
So you return to the same scene, where you're constantly fighting for his/her attention because you desire for some sort of proof, any at all, to show that you are indeed worth a bit of his/her time.
Now try imagining what it's like to be in love like with them.
